Adult Foster Care
A Nurturing Family Environment
for Seniors and Adults with Disabilities

For individuals who can no longer live alone and need assistance with the activities of daily living, hope and help is available.

Through the Adult Foster Care Program, caregivers open their homes to the elderly and the disabled.

In addition to providing personal care and room and board, caregivers provide these individuals with something equally important - attention to their emotional and spiritual needs.

In these safe, affordable settings, individuals in need of care will enjoy a nurturing atmosphere and inclusions in the home life of the caregiver and their family. Up to four individuals may live as part of the family in each of these private, certified homes.

Caregivers provide the residents in their homes with a variety of services, including supervision, meals, assistance with daily activities, recreational opportunities, and help in arranging transportation.

Caregivers also encourage residents to pursue personal interests and activities that will help them lead meaningful and fulfilled lives.

Caregivers are special people who are willing to share their homes with those needing assistance. Our Adult Foster Home staff is contracted with providers designated by Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTCS) to carefully screen, train, and monitor sponsors to promote quality of care for every individual in the program. The homes are licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Caregivers and Managers of adult foster homes in need of training for licensure may wish to visit our Assisted Living Education page.
